Mark Thomason’s research examines traditional and emerging monetization models for digital products and services and identifies disruptive business models and technologies such as cloud services, product to “aaS” transformation, and monetization enabled by innovation accelerators such as IoT. Mark holds a B.S. in Management of Information Systems from University of Central Florida and an M.S. in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Stephan M. Liozu, Ph.D. is Chief Value Officer at Thales Group and founder of Value Innoruption Advisors, a consulting boutique specializing in value-based pricing, digital pricing, and industrial pricing. He is the author of ten pricing books including “Monetizing Data” published in 2018 with Dr. Ulaga. Stephan holds a Ph.D. in Management from Case Western Reserve University, an M.S. in Innovation Management from Toulouse School of Management, and an MBA in Marketing from Cleveland State University.

Amy Konary is Global VP, Subscribed Strategy Group, Zuora. She has over 20 years of experience advising companies on subscription business strategies. As founder and chair of the Subscribed Institute, a think tank for the subscription economy, she convenes business executives, thought leaders, and industry experts and generates research and industry benchmarks on subscription transformation topics. Amy also advises Zuora customers on subscription business strategy development, execution, and maturity.

Wayson Vannatta
CIO, WatchGuard Technologies


Wayson Vannatta joined WatchGuard in 2015 and is responsible for the company’s global IT strategy, development, operations, and business systems and services. He brings over 18 years of IT management, software development and operations experience to WatchGuard. Previously, Wayson was Vice President of Technology at InfoSpace, a leading provider of search and monetization solutions, where he led software engineering, infrastructure engineering, corporate systems, and data warehouse. During his tenure at InfoSpace, he was instrumental in moving their entire infrastructure to the public cloud while transforming the way they deliver software solutions. Wayson holds an MBA from Columbia College and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from St. Martin’s College.

Melissa Rogers
Senior Vice President Software Solutions, Gerber Technology


Melissa Rogers is Senior Vice President for Software Solutions. Her focus is on the company’s integrated software portfolio, helping to drive innovation. Melissa is ready to make an impact through change, transformation or new programs. Melissa joined Gerber from Autodesk, a leading software company focused on the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, education, and entertainment industries. Most recently, Melissa held the position of VP of Subscriber Platform Engineering at Autodesk. In this role, she drove the turnaround of the subscriber platform engineering organization contributing to Autodesk’s $894M total net subscriber revenue in 2017.

Damien Bullot
Vice President & Co-General Manager, Thales Software Monetization


Damien Bullot is Vice President & Co-General Manager of Thales’ Software Monetization division, and is based in Austin, Texas. A French native, he moved to the New York area to serve as VP of Sales for the Identity and Data Protection BL of Safenet Inc., a Gemalto US-based subsidiary. Prior to this, Damien held several leadership positions within Gemalto’s different business units in EMEA and in Latin America, including serving as Country Manager in Brazil.
A graduate of Aix en Provence University in France, Damien also holds an MSC in Marketing Management from IAE Business Institute.

Dave DiMillo
Vice President – Global Solution Sales, Thales Software Monetization


Dave is an industry expert in software business models and entitlement management with a focus on the E2E software monetization lifecycle. He currently leads multiple teams within Thales’ Software Monetization business unit including the Business Value and Business Development teams. He is responsible for ensuring our sales people get beyond selling by helping our customers realize the financial impact of having their business problems addressed. Dave is responsible for Thales’ value selling program, ROI tools and customer-facing solution collateral.

Julie Donnell is an industry expert on software licensing, deployment and delivery, with a passion for delighting customers. As the Director, Global Business Value Consulting at Thales, she helps customers quantify the value of modernizing their software licensing platform and approach, focusing on business impact and ROI. Working in the software industry for more than 20 years, Julie has a deep cross-organizational experience with the global challenges associated with bringing software products to market. Julie earned a B.S. in Computer Information Science and a Master of Business Administration and she is a big Penn State football fan!

Darim is the unique breed who possess both the deep technical expertise and the ability to explain that technology in dynamic terms for the lay person. He has been involved in software monetization/licensing for over two decades. Having started his career in pre- and post-sales support, Darim then moved to the product management side of the business. He is currently responsible for guiding the Thales Software Monetizing product strategy and roadmap, along with maintaining an effective product identity. You will find him to be a riveting speaker not to be missed.
