Mark Thomason’s research examines traditional and emerging monetization models for digital products and services and identifies disruptive business models and technologies such as cloud services, product to “aaS” transformation, and monetization enabled by innovation accelerators such as IoT. Mark holds a B.S. in Management of Information Systems from University of Central Florida and an M.S. in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Stephan M. Liozu, Ph.D. is Chief Value Officer at Thales Group and founder of Value Innoruption Advisors, a consulting boutique specializing in value-based pricing, digital pricing, and industrial pricing. He is the author of ten pricing books including “Monetizing Data” published in 2018 with Dr. Ulaga. Stephan holds a Ph.D. in Management from Case Western Reserve University, an M.S. in Innovation Management from Toulouse School of Management, and an MBA in Marketing from Cleveland State University.
John is the Business Process Expert for Software Entitlement & Licensing at Philips, with over two decades of experience in software development and process management. In his current BPE role, John is responsible for designing and implementing the standard process for software entitlement and license management in Philips. He has built and grown a cross-functional network of subject matter experts within Philips to capture requirements, evaluate process design changes, implement integrations between Sentinel and Philips “home-grown” and vendor managed systems, and to review and validate developed functional changes related to software entitlements and licensing. John and his team collaborate with Program Management to develop strategies for process adoption and plan the transformation activities with Philips business units needed to migrate their processes, systems and data from current state to the target. John and his wife live in Spokane, Washington USA and are happily observing at a distance the (ad)ventures into adulthood of their young adult children.
Amy Konary is Global VP, Subscribed Strategy Group, Zuora. She has over 20 years of experience advising companies on subscription business strategies. As founder and chair of the Subscribed Institute, a think tank for the subscription economy, she convenes business executives, thought leaders, and industry experts and generates research and industry benchmarks on subscription transformation topics. Amy also advises Zuora customers on subscription business strategy development, execution, and maturity.
Dean Bass is a Product Development Director for Oxford Instruments. He has over 20 years of industry acumen in guiding high tech R&D organisations towards strategic development and portfolio management. Currently managing a team of over 80 scientists and engineers for the NanoAnalysis business, he is responsible for driving People and Change Leadership within the organisation. His Program and Project Leadership expertise has allowed him to accelerate his team to new levels of performance through a combination of business analysis, process re-engineering, and change leadership skills.
Melissa Rogers is Senior Vice President for Software Solutions. Her focus is on the company’s integrated software portfolio, helping to drive innovation. Melissa is ready to make an impact through change, transformation or new programs. Melissa joined Gerber from Autodesk, a leading software company focused on the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, education, and entertainment industries. Most recently, Melissa held the position of VP of Subscriber Platform Engineering at Autodesk. In this role, she drove the turnaround of the subscriber platform engineering organization contributing to Autodesk’s $894M total net subscriber revenue in 2017.
Ansgar Dodt has been active in the licensing environment for more than 15 years. He has been Head of Product Management at Thales since 2020 and was previously responsible for the software monetization strategy. Before that, Mr. Dodt first headed European and then global sales. At the same time he is the managing director of Thales in Germany. Before working in the licensing sector, Ansgar Dodt was a member of the board of directors at Eracom, a provider of encryption solutions, member of the board of a venture capital company and senior project manager at McKinsey.
Over the past 18 years, Alexander Neumann has worked in various sales positions and is currently responsible for the EMEA region. In direct dialogue with the companies, he supports them in driving the implementation of digitization, developing sources of income through new business models, keeping costs under control through automation and at the same time increasing customer satisfaction. Before that, he worked in sales at Siemens in the Information and Communication Mobile.
Darim is the unique breed who possess both the deep technical expertise and the ability to explain that technology in dynamic terms for the lay person. He has been involved in software monetization/licensing for over two decades. Having started his career in pre- and post-sales support, Darim then moved to the product management side of the business. He is currently responsible for guiding the Thales Software Monetizing product strategy and roadmap, along with maintaining an effective product identity. You will find him to be a riveting speaker not to be missed.
Steffen Rehnig is currently responsible for the sales team across UK, BeNeLux and Nordics for Software Monetization at Thales DIS CPL, and was previously a senior consultant within the Professional Services team. With 12 years of experience and understanding of licensing and software monetization, his focus is on working with companies to achieve your commercial goals and support the integration of Sentinel Thales Solutions within your products and infrastructure in order to increase your organizations revenue potential.
